David is an ASI-qualified paddleboard instructor with a calm, encouraging coaching style that immediately puts people at ease. Whether it’s your first time on a board or you’re looking to develop your skills, he’ll adapt every experience to suit the group, making sure everyone feels confident, safe and included.
His passion for the outdoors is infectious, and you’ll often find him sharing about local wildlife, geology and historical stories related to the coastline along the way. It’s this relaxed approach that turns your paddle adventure into a memorable experience.
HOLLY

Holly is usually the first person you’ll hear from when you get in touch with Nowhere2far. From answering enquiries and helping guests choose the perfect adventure to organising every little detail behind the scenes, she’s dedicated to making every experience feel effortless from start to finish.
Whether its designing retreat programmes, preparing picnic lunches, packing extra jackets on cooler mornings or serving fresh watermelon beside the lake on a summer afternoon, Holly believes it’s the thoughtful touches that transform a great paddle into an unforgettable experience.
WINSTON

Winston has been part of the Nowhere2far family since he was a puppy and has quietly become something of a celebrity. You’ll usually find him greeting guests with a wagging tail before settling onto his own paddleboard, ready for another day on the water.
Equal parts adventure companion and unofficial therapy dog, Winston has an uncanny ability to help nervous paddlers relax. Whether he’s wildlife spotting, supervising the group from the front of his board or accepting well-earned ear scratches, he has a habit of becoming everyone’s favourite member of the team.
OUR STORY
Adventure has always been at the heart of who we are.
We met through a shared love of exploration and spent years travelling the world by bicycle, sailboat and backpack, always choosing the slower route and road less travelled. Along the way, we discovered that the most memorable experiences rarely came from ticking off famous landmarks - they came from connecting with people, nature and the places in between.
When we discovered the Algarve, we knew we’d found somewhere special. Its dramatic coastline, peaceful lakes, wild rivers and relaxed pace of life, felt like the perfect place to put down roots and continue the adventure - this time as a family.
Today, Nowhere2far remains proudly family-run, introducing guests to a slower, wilder and more authentic side of Portugal.
