Sounds like my little brother had fun trying to ride both our bikes down to Velotive bike shop in Newquay (thank you Josh!) and they are now in the workshop being prepped for their onward voyage.
Super friendly, experienced and passionate, drop in and see them or check out their website if your into cycling, swimming or running. They also offer personal training, nutritional advice and sport rehabilitation.
Getting back to where we left off..
The next part of the route, we are super exited about, as we travel south along the Adriatic coast through Montenegro, Albania and Greece to Athens. Now we'll roll like the rockstars and island hop at a leisurely pace through the Greek Isles to reach Turkey, before making our way north to Istanbul. I think we just about get back to our original track at that point!
I regret to say that we will only be able to spend a mere 14 days in the UK, due to a claus in our travel insurance policy, so it is going to be another whirl wind tour. However, we still want to see you all, so we shall try our damnedest to make that happen. I am particularly excited about meeting little Noah Green, though I suspect he is not so little anymore!
It is our resolution to keep a great journal of our travels and share the moments..
Our SPOT GPS will be going live once again as soon as we cross the English channel. The 'Track Us' link is currently in the drop down menu under ROUTE, we will make this nice and visible as soon as we go live. For those of you that have not used this feature, you will be taken to a link that shows us moving in real time on Google maps. You can see when we make the miles and you can see when we are battling a big hill, or if the pins start loading up on top of one another, we're taking a break! Zoom in and check out the terrain and if you see anything particularly fascinating in the direction we're heading, email us and let us know. David's mum has been known to give us directions from the office in Australia!!
Do not forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, David will keep you inspired with pictures, updates and general shenanigans from life on the road..
And finally, we have said it before, we will say it again.. If you want to join us for a ride anywhere that takes your fancy, please feel free to contact us. It does not matter if you are fast, slow, tandem or you just want to meet us along the way somewhere, we love having the company, meeting new people and gaining experiences. For those in the UK, we have two Specialised tri-cross bikes fitted with pannier racks and mudguards which are good to go if you are Holly sized (5.0 - 5.5ft) or David sized (5.10+), you will need your own pannier bags for them but other than that anyone is welcome to make use of them if you are thinking about joining us, get in touch and we can make arrangements.
We have still to tell you about our amazing experiences in Bosnia and Croatia, I will bring you right up to date with all of those stories before the adventure takes command once again and then we'll getting this blog rolling.. On Time!!
